About the Comet Chase 5K
The GLEF 5K Run/Walk is an annual community event open to participants of all ages and abilities. Whether you run, jog, or walk, your participation helps fund educator grants that enhance student learning. The race will take you through beautiful Grand Ledge and give you a look at how Grand Ledge Public Schools is at the heart of our community,

Multiple Race Options
5K Race: A well-marked course that starts and finishes on the high school track and travels through town.
1-Mile Youth Race: Fun run for ages 13 & under, held entirely on the track.
400m Kids Race: Short dash for younger kids.
Virtual 5K: Participate from anywhere — all virtual runners receive medals and T-shirts.
Race Swag & Awards
All in-person 5K participants receive a finisher medal and a technical race T-shirt (guaranteed for early registration).
Age-group awards for the top 3 male and female runners in each division.
All youth and kids participants receive a cotton shirt and fun giveaway.
Extras
Post-race refreshments and door prizes for participants.
Results are timed professionally by the Michigan Running Foundation.
